iRadio...But Not From Motorola

For a moment, I thought this 3d2f Software Directory post was about Motorola's iRadio service, but it's not. Still, it was an interesting-sounding application..!

iRadio is a new way of capturing and collecting music from radio stations over the Internet. Integrated easy search engine allows you to find favorite radio by genre or keyword, to choose bitrate and other characteristics. You can listen and record radios at the same time. iRadio receives much more information about listening track: track parameters, name, stream name, stream type, bitrate, genre etc. iRadio automatically saves every new track in a separate file with the corresponding file name.

Pretty cool. I'll probably stick with podcasts in the mean time, however.

This iRadio has been around much longer than Motorola's iRadio name was even thought of.

it's a software product where you can capture web radio stations and load them into your mp3 player, you don't have to worry about formatting the files it captures, it does that for you.

Other similar software includes 'Station Ripper', 'Replay Radio' and several others.

But the similar name makes for the confusion. If you want to look up Motorola iRadio in Google, you have to modify any search for it by adding 'Motoroa' to any search parameters that also contain 'iRadio' to get the right results.
