New Content Partner to Be Announced: Sony BMG, Warner, or EMI?
I just heard a little rumor from a source inside the iRadio team that a new content partner will be announced this week. Since Universal already signed with Motorola iRadio, that would leave Sony BMG, Warner, and EMI.
Mind you, a similar rumor came my way once before, and Motorola decided to hold off. However, this time it's more likely to happen, since CES 2006 is taking place this week...it's a prefect venue to make big announcements.
This would, of course, open the way for more exclusive artist channels, which would give Motorola even more ammunition with which to compete against Sirius and XM.
