The Rough, Tough, Motorola i580 Launches
Some people might say that anything encased in rubber is sexy. Those folks would go ga-ga over the Motorola i580. (...that was a wierd thing to write...)
Anyway, behold, the Motorola i580, an iDen handset built to withstand rain, dust, shock, and vibrations. Check out its features:
- Bluetooth
- 1.3 Mega-pixel Camera
- Mp3 Player
- Durable rubber outer casing
- Meets military standards for resisting the elements
Why didn't they call this phone the Motorola RUBR?

do you have pics of the front dual speakers... would love to see those!
"Advanced Front Ported Audio Support: The phone comes built-in with front dual speakers. Most other phones have a single speaker in the rare. This makes using the MP3 player and listening to music on the i580 much more enjoyable."

No I don't, sorry Sadhra. That's a great observation though, something I'd missed. I'll try to look around...

Sadhra,
Actually, the picture of the i580 in the link you included DOES show the dual speakers in the phone. Specifically, they're located inside the clamshell phone, at the bottom left and bottom right of the keypad.
That said, I can't imagine listening to music on the phone is "..much more enjoyable.." as you'd have to walk around with the phone open, against your head. A good pair of headphones is probably the better option. Still, at least the speaker phone will be easier to use.
